EXPERIENCE AND EXPOSURE ON SRI
2-days Training Programme Organized at each Zonal Level of the Project area on dt.28.05.2009 to 29.05.2009 and 03.06.2009 to 04.06.2009 respectively. The Farmers of the Project area generally under took the similar kind of farming of Paddy & Oil Seeds. The Training gave thrust on Crop Diversification by the Farmers through Alternative Technology. The Trainers gave orientation on Paddy Cultivation in SRI Process and use of Organic Manure and Pesticides. Also know the seed treatment for better germinations,Plants Quality,Growth and Taste with Seeds Preservation on Organic way. The Farmers were made aware about the different Technology of farming and available Government Facilities. Total 46nos Farmers had participated in the training Programme. Mr. Arnada Prasad Swain, Agriculturist in BBSR and Mr. Subash Chandra Sahu, Agriculturist in OUAT BBSR, Local Agriculture Officers were the Resource Persons. DEEP had take steps for Capacity Building of 3 Staffs on SRI Methods Mr.Lochhamohan Ichhagutu, Biseswar Lenka and Krushna Chandra Haiburu. They had take Training on SRI at SAMBHAB, Rohibanka and grow Knowledge about SRI by Exposure visit. Than DEEP had taken Challenges to prove the Farmers gate more yields out of SRI Process Cultivation. The Farmers get more yields out of SRI i.e. 4-5 times than their Traditional Cultivation.
